The costumes for the “real world” reflect the overwhelming state of Delilah's world by being full of vibrant colors and patterns that fit within the early 2010s aesthetic, while the costumes in the “fantasy world” are very elegant and structured, but also pale and harsh. Only at the end, when Delilah learns how to make a world she wants to live in, do the costumes balance out.

• Between the Lines is a musical about a Delilah who wants to escape her difficult reality, and the fairytale-book-confined Prince Oliver who wants to escape his story. Together, they create their own space in their worlds.
