The overall design for this piece is otherworldly with a strong tie to our reality. The audience is made to understand that they have intruded upon this space before the actors dressed as regular people start performing in the piece. The set design involves organic architecture from a fictional world that has been overgrown, blurring the line between what is constructed and what is natural. The Creature’s design is based on several animals, but revolves around the insect. The goal was to make the audience feel intrigued but uncomfortable and to walk away asking themselves if they were complicit.

• This 10-minute piece I wrote explores the pressure society imposes on the individual to conform. This struggle is represented by a mythical Creature being hunted for its parts, before electing to give everything they have left away in a desperate attempt at self-preservation.
